What We're Looking For
AI is becoming the instrument that will shape the next era of moving images. What we are searching for is the story standing behind the technology.
A film that moves a heart. Work that lights a corner of the world. Craft that uses AI to reach the soul and not merely the eye. That is what this award exists to honor.
As the world tilts further toward whatever captures attention fastest, we are looking for the opposite — work that shapes the generation coming after us and builds a culture and a character worth inheriting. The creators making that kind of work are the ones we are here to find.

What a Strong Submission Looks Like
Open on a Choice
Our jury sees many films in a day. A slow build is the easiest way to lose them.
Be Honest About Length
If it is a seven-minute story, submit seven minutes. Padding shows immediately.
AI Is Your Tool, Not Your Subject
The film does not need to be about AI. We judge the story, not the pipeline.
Sound Carries Half the Film
Dialogue, ambience, and score often separate a finalist from a near miss.
Proofread Your Subtitles
Our jury works across languages. The SRT file is their only way in.
Non-English Films Welcome
Simply include the English subtitle file with your entry.

How much AI is enough to qualify?
There is no percentage threshold. AI needs to play a real role in your process — generation, animation, voice, score, or editorial assistance all count. Hybrid live-action and AI films are fully eligible.
What does the $30 entry fee support?
Your entry fee goes toward jury review, the ceremony in Los Angeles, and the platform that carries nominated films to a global audience after the event.
Who holds the copyright?
You keep full copyright. Submitting grants us the right to screen your film and use excerpts for judging, the ceremony, the exhibition, and related promotion.
May I submit a film that has screened elsewhere?
Yes. We do not require premiere status.
Is FilmFreeway the only way to enter?
Yes. FilmFreeway is our only submission channel.
May I submit more than one film?
Yes. Submit each film separately.
